Furniture Assembly in Barrie
We'll turn that pile of boxes into finished furniture so you can skip the frustration and enjoy your space.
Why Hire Us for Furniture Assembly
You ordered the desk, the bookshelf, the bed frame. Now you're staring at a stack of cardboard and a bag of mystery hardware. We get it. Flat-pack furniture is cheap until you factor in the three hours you'll spend deciphering pictogram instructions and the leftover screws that haunt you forever.
We assemble furniture every week. IKEA, Wayfair, Amazon basics, office chairs, patio sets - if it came in a box, we've built it. You don't need to clear your Saturday or dig through your toolbox. We show up with the right tools, follow the instructions properly, and make sure everything's square and stable. If you're in Innisfil or anywhere around Barrie, we'll come to you.
Most jobs take an hour or two. Bigger projects like full bedroom sets or office buildouts might run longer, but we'll give you a time estimate upfront. No surprises. And if something's damaged in the box or parts are missing, we'll let you know before we waste your time.
What We Assemble
Bedroom furniture is our bread and butter. Beds, dressers, nightstands, wardrobes - the stuff that's heavy, awkward, and has approximately 47 cam-lock fasteners. We've done everything from simple IKEA Malm frames to those massive PAX closet systems that take over an entire wall.
Office furniture is another big one. Desks, filing cabinets, bookcases, standing desk frames. If you're setting up a home office or outfitting a small business space, we'll get it done fast so you can actually start working. We also handle outdoor furniture (patio sets, gazebos, sheds), kids' furniture (cribs, bunk beds, play tables), and the random stuff like TV stands, bar carts, and storage cubes.
We don't do built-in cabinetry or custom carpentry - that's a different scope. But if it arrived flat-packed with an instruction sheet, we'll build it. And if you need help with Fixture Installation or Minor Carpentry while we're there, we can knock that out too.
How It Works
Call or text us with what you need assembled. If you know the brand and model, great. If you just know it's 'that big bookshelf from IKEA,' that works too. We'll ask a couple questions, give you a ballpark price, and find a time that works.
We bring our own tools - drills, hex keys, levels, the works. You don't need to prep anything except maybe clearing a spot where the finished piece will go. We'll unbox, sort the parts, follow the instructions, and clean up the packaging when we're done. If you're in Springwater or another nearby area, travel's included in the quote.
Once it's built, we'll make sure it's level, stable, and anchored if needed (especially tall dressers and bookcases - tip-over hazards are real). You'll get a finished product that doesn't wobble or creak. If there's an issue with the furniture itself, we'll walk you through your return options before we finish assembly.
Pricing and Timing
Most single-item assemblies run between $80 and $150. A basic nightstand or small bookcase might be on the lower end. A king bed frame with drawers or a large corner desk pushes higher. Multi-item jobs (like furnishing a whole bedroom) usually fall in the $200-$400 range depending on complexity.
We charge by the job, not the hour, so you know the cost upfront. If something takes longer than expected because the instructions are terrible or parts don't fit right, that's on us. We're not going to nickel-and-dime you. Same-day or next-day service is usually available in Barrie - we're pretty flexible.
If you've got a bigger project - say, outfitting an entire office or assembling a dozen items after a move - we can give you a package rate. And if you need other handyman work done while we're there, like Drywall Repair or Door Repair, we'll bundle it and save you a second trip charge.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to unbox the furniture before you arrive?
Nope. We'll unbox, assemble, and haul away the packaging. If you want to unbox ahead of time to check for damage, that's fine too - just leave all the parts and hardware together so nothing goes missing.
How long does a typical furniture assembly take?
Most single items take 30 minutes to 2 hours. A simple nightstand might be done in 20 minutes. A complex bed frame with storage drawers or a large wardrobe system can take 3-4 hours. We'll give you an estimate when you book.
What if parts are missing or damaged?
We'll check everything before we start. If parts are missing or broken, we'll let you know right away so you can contact the retailer for replacements. We won't charge you for a job we can't finish due to manufacturer issues.
